Yup this week I started her with porridge.

Friends who knows me, will be thinking "u sure u know how to cook or not?". Thus before I start this mission impossible, I did many research from parenting forum & asking around.

Finally, I decided on using the fuss-free method, SLOW COOKER. Yes as per its name, it cooks s-l-o-w-l-y.

It takes about 5 hrs before the rice were cooked till cereal-soft. Although it takes a long time, but its simple & the end result was good. Just put rice & water in to the pot, on the switch & that's it! Occasionally check on the water, to make sure its not dried up. I did not add any seasoning (i.e. salt or soy sauce) as I do not want Princess's taste bud to be 'stained' by these artificial flavouring. Instead, I added carrot into the porridge to give it taste & flavour. Besides, Princess LOVE carrots.

I was worried as I'm not sure if she'll like the porridge cos its not as tasty as cereal (cereal is sweet whereas porridge bland). She tasted her 1st bit of the orangey-gluey-bland food. She gave me the what-is-this-mummy look. She played with the porridge awhile & swallowed. Me so happy at least she accepted it & didn't spat it out.

On Saturday, she finished about 80ml out of 100ml.

On Sunday, she finished the whole 100ml.

Princess had added another milestone to her growing up diary.
