Had a long weekend last week. Took leave from Monday to Wednesday. What a luxury!!
I booked a room in Costa Sand Resort (the cheapest of course) to celebrate Princess's 1 yr old birthday. We did not make this into an elaborate event as she already had a grand 1-month celebration 11 months ago. This time, I just want the 3 of us to enjoy the moment (also an excuse for me to R&R).
DAY 1 (MONDAY 2/7/07)
However, in e morning, Princess was having slight fever & coughing. This time the cough sounds very different from last time. Took her to the doc. As we made no appointment, we waited for almost 2hrs before its our turn. Doc said this time her cough is slightly more serious as its coming from her chest. It could lead to bronchitis. Thus we must take good care & observer. By then, her fever has subsides. Back home, we gave her medic. Seeing she's feeling ok (sick but still can move around, climb here & there, being talkative), we proceed with our hol.
We drove in, car full of stuffs (food, drinks, bb stuff, bbq stuff, a luggage etc). The admission is $2/pax + $2/car entry. So total we paid $6, not too bad. On the way to the resort, we saw a bird nest lying on the road, very dangerous IF there is bridling inside. Being a pet lover (bird, dog, fish... you name it), Rye went down to shift the nest to the grass patch nearby. He said its empty & one of the passerby praised him for his good deed.
After we reached our room, we took a short rest before we went out to explore.

We took the resort's shuttle bus to the underwater world. Of course, cannot miss this place. Although every time we came, its always the same old things but I just won't get sick of it :P

We went back after that to start the bbq. We walked back as the timing for the shuttle bus is over (its only till 4pm). Fortunately, its only a short distance. On the way, Rye caught a spider saying is Princess's present...

Rye took charge of the bbq (of course). Princess got cranky after awhile. No choice got to bring her back to e room, leaving poor daddy alone bbq-ing. Back to the room, Princess fell asleep within 3 mins. She only napped awhile. Went out to look for daddy again. I suggested eating in e room as its cooler. Luxury again, eating oily food in the room with aircon on to full blast.
After dinner, we went to a swim.

DAY 2 (TUESDAY 3/7/07)
We went for swim again around 1+.
While waiting for her lunch, she explore the room...
After lunch, Princess is all energetic, while daddy is tired...
Today's planned itinerary is to the Butterfly & insect park and herb & spice garden. The garden was kinda disappointment as its only just a small place, not much to see. Lucky, its free admission.

We took the Sentosa express to Vivocity to buy cake for Princess. Also had our lunch-cum-dinner there as its almost 4+ when we reached. Bought a Berry-Sundae cake from Bread Talk.
Trina & Rudy came to visit & pass Princess her present & CAKE again... Hahaaa Princess had 2 bd cake this yr...
