just gotten home, yet to shower, yet to have my dinner all becos i must pen down what happened less than 1/2hr ago. on my way home, i dropped by punggol plaza to change a hair brush which i bought 2 days ago but is spoil (the 'teeth' part came off, cannot fix back to its base). Reader, note i bought the brush from THE ONLY HAIR ACCESSORIES SHOP AT LEVEL 1. i went up to the auntie at cashier counter. (note the following conversation is in mandarin) ME: i bought this 2 days ago but is spoil, i want to change AUNTIE: huh comb ar cannot change one ME: but i bought from here n its new n totally cannot use y cannot change? AUNTIE: we pack (into plastic) all the comb ourselves & if is spoil we will know. if we pack & sell, tt means its not spoil. when u buy? note: all this while, she is NOT looking at me, she just keep doing her things ME: 2 days ago. spoil y cannot change (note: me getting angry but haven raise my voice) AUNTIE: 2 days ar, so long liao (hello!!! monday night buy, wed change VERY LONG LEH??) comb few cents only we dun change & we dunno how u use ME: xiao jie! (damn, i shld hv called her AUNTIE instead) this is not s few cents leh, its $1.60 hor AUNTIE: den u buy from who, u wait for the salesgirl come & u ask her ME: how many ppl work here AUNTIE: 4 ME: do u expect me to wait for all 4 to come to work?? halfway a customer wants to make payment, i left her & went to the comb section & took from e rack exactly the same one as i bought n bring to counter, still trying to convince her tt i bought it here. ME: auntie this is the same as the one i bought (but spoil) so confirm I BOUGHT FROM HERE!! AUNTIE: ~still singing 'comb cannot change blar blar blar & at e same time open the one i got from e rack. she tried the 'teeth' part to see it come out, did not. den she fixed my faulty one n try rubbing a few time on her palm. e 'teeth' no drop & she gave me the WHERE-GOT-SPOIL look~ ME: if you can comb yr hair & it did not drop, i wont change AUNTIE: ~still rubbing the brush & IT DROP HAAAA!!~ ME: ~gave her the I-TOLD-YOU-SO look~ AUNTIE: ~took the new one, rub on her palm & try to pry the 'teeth' to test. din drop~ ME: if you use this comb yr hair & it will drop, i will not change. AUNTIE: ~try the new brush again, still ok, no drop. w/o saying anything, she SLAP the brush on the counter~ note: all this while she is still NOT looking at me ME: does this mean u let me change? AUNTIE: aiya take lah take lah ME: u sure now u let me change? ~took the brush keep into my bag~ where got ppl buy thing, spoil cannot change one?? ~angry, walk away~ my blood is still boiling even as i m typing.
